AGM AGENDA 2026

Before the meeting commences members will be invited to be upstanding to join a minute applause in honour of Steve Toms & Rob Dandy. Also we sadly lost past members Jim Hutton & Brian Watson in the past 12 months.

After accepting last year’s minutes, brief addresses will be made in turn by the chairman, secretary, treasurer (who will provide copies of audited accounts), and the competitions secretaries. 

Then follow:

PROPOSALS

Committee Proposals:

  1. That the incumbent committee, including co-opted members, be re-elected en bloc with no other nominations having been received.
  2. Rule 8 – Monthly meeting to be changed to ‘Bi-Monthly meetings’
  3. Rule 31 – Change ‘Home teams may be penalised 1 point’ to ‘Home & Away teams may be penalised 1 point’ – making both teams responsible for scoresheet accuracy
  4. Rule 31 – Change ‘24 hours’ to ‘by 12 noon the next day’ for submission of the scoresheet.
  5. That League Billiards Match are drawn as follows – the top 2 ranked by handicap followed by the remaining 3 ranked by handicap.

Members’ Proposals:

  1. That all Competition Semi-Finals to be played at neutral venues
    Proposer: Lee Eden       Seconder: Scott Compton
  1. Snooker in Lowest Division:-  That the draw for each league match be as follows – The top 2 handicaps be drawn against each other, the middle 2 handicaps and lowest 2 handicaps thus aligning players with similar handicaps for a more competitive outcome.
    Proposer: Ray Axton    Seconder: Ted Dowse
  1. League Snooker in Lowest Division :- That all League matches be played off Handicaps.
    Proposer: Ray Axton    Seconder Ted Dowse

WINTER LEAGUE PRIZE-GIVING

Immediately following the AGM there will be Prize-Giving for the Winter League with Trophies and Prize Monies awarded to the Division Winners & Runners Up as well as High Break Prizes.
