Peter Rook Scoring & Rules

Below is an sample copy of the NEW Peter Rook League Cup Result Sheet:

The team that won 8 – 4 gets 4 points. The team that lost gets 1 point.

The information highlighted in PINK MUST be filled in with your final points.
The information highlighted in YELLOW must be filled in.
Columns highlighted in BLUE to be filled in if a Break of 30 or more is made.

FORMAT OF THE LEAGUE

All matches will be played off league handicaps. Groups A, B, C & D will play on either a Tuesday or Thursday. Each team will play each other in the Cup over the season and TWO teams from each group will qualify for the quarter finals. Winners of each group will get a home tie in the quarter finals. A draw will take place for the semi finals teams, with matches to be played on home team match nights. Semi finals and final to be played at neutral venues, this to be decided by Executive Committee.

THE RULES AS FOLLOWS

Singles matches to be drawn, and not picked.
Each group has its own Peter Rook League Table.
GROUP A – GROUP B – GROUP C – GROUP D

SCORING SYSTEM

For winning the match the team gets 4pts.
For a draw each team will receive 2pts.
A losing team gets 1pt. 

PLEASE NOTE: This year you do not have to play down to the final BLACK. If a tie at the end of the frame then a re-spotted black will be played, but only 1 foul allowed on the final black.

LEAGUE TABLES

The top 2 from each group will progress to the quarter finals.

PLEASE NOTE: If teams are level at the end of the league format the committee has decided to use the countback system (see RULE 39) with the teams concerned seeing who has won the previous games in the league before, and only then will determine who finishes in the correct placings.
