Cowplain X had home advantage as they welcomed Waterlooville C and it was Cowplain who triumphed 5 – 2. It started well for the Cowplain side as Ioan Moon and James Curtis won their matches 200 – 141 and 200 – 133 respectively. Waterlooville hit back as Rob Derry Jnr and Mark Pitman won their games 200 – 148 and 200 – 181. It was the end of the night as Cowplain gave thanks to Pete Gorvin who won 200 – 180 and then John Wyatt 200 – 171 made the game safe winning overall 1129 – 1025.
Copnor A & E took on Portchester X and had home advantage a won 5 – 2. It was a great start for Copnor as Mark Tillison, Kev Harding and Tony Simmons all winning their matches, with Tillison only winning by 1 point. Portchester hit back as Mark Kingswell and Matt James pulling 2 matches back. The end belonged to Copnor as Steve Toms won his match 200 – 143 as the Copnor team won 1068 – 1048 in the end. Jason Tame made the high break of the night with a 56.
Waterlooville Bananas entertained Bellair in a tight contest with the Bananas just winning 4 – 3. Dan Lumsden for Bellair won his match 200 – 126 to get them off to a good start. This was cancelled out by Bananas who had Robbie Parsons, Wayne Rendle and Ozzie Rendle all winning their matches, Steve Scott and Dusty Tingley got the Bellair back on level terms but overall score and the extra point went to Bananas as they won 1059 – 1046.
Craneswater A had home advantage against Cowplain Z but unfortunately was on the losing end of a 5 – 2 defeat. Rob Kirby with breaks of 47 and 30 got the Craneswater team off to a brilliant start. Cowplain hit back as Dave Rees 200 – 54 and then Nathan Hickley 200 – 152 got them in front. Mick Kirby levelled it for Craneswater, but the last 2 games went to Cowplain as Pete Ferguson and Frank Baxter both won their games 200 – 184 and 200 – 186 respectively and won the extra point in a total of 1143 – 976.
