DIVISION 3

Cowplain X remain top of the league after their good 10 – 2 win against ABC.  It was good at the start and the end as Cowplain started with Pete Gorvin and George Steere got the X team off to a great start as they both won their 2 frames each.  Then at the end James Curtis and Will Garrett finished the job off as they won the brace of frames to end the night on a high for the X men.

Broadoak went on the road to the Havant Club and came away with a 10 – 2 victory.  Andy White for Broadoak got the away side off to a flyer and this was backed up in the middle of the draw as Lance Cornwell, Simon Fleming and Simon Munday all won the brace of frames.

ABC’s won a close fought battle against Cowplain Misfits, just winning 7 – 5.  It started well for the Misfits as Ryan Houghton won his 2 frames.  For ABC’s Harry Hartley won his game and it looked as it was heading for a draw until captain for ABC’s Johnny Hartley held his nerve together and won his match to take his team over that winning line.

Broadoak Dandy’s and NEBC couldn’t be split as they fought out a 6 – 6 draw.  For NEBC Richard Jones got his team off to a winning start by winning a brace.  The rest of the games were drawn until the end when Paul Dandy for Dandy’s was on last and he kept it together and won his brace of frames to level it up on the night.

DIVISION 2

Craneswater R went on their travels to Copnor D and came away with a 9 – 3 victory.  It was a bit one sided as for Craneswater Anthony Mitas-Pahita and James Sorrell both won their games and it was Joe Rigby at the end who saved the best to last as he won his brace along with a nice 43 break.

Pompey Royals had home advantage and they made full use of it as they won 8 – 4.  Steve Orchard won his brace for the home team but this was cancelled out with Daniel Walter doing the same.  Tony Lee got the Royals back in front only for Copnor’s Ian Walter winning his brace.  It was at the end where the Royals came to the party as Paul Chivers and Martin Bell got the Royals over the threshold and a win on the night.

Emsworth B are top of the league after their 8 – 4 victory over Cowplain Gas.  Chester Bailey for Emsworth won his match, but this was levelled out as Craig Skeggs won his brace for Cowplain.  That was as good as it got as Emsworth piled on the pressure with Steven Cutler, Jim Baldwin and Paul Merrett all won their 2 frames and won on the night with ease.

There was no splitting Copnor Xcels and Bellair X as they battled out a 6 – 6 draw.  It started so well for the Bellair team as they had Karl Smith and Lee Harding both winning a brace each.  It was a father and son who got Copnor back in the game as Wayne Laxton (father) and Sam Laxton both won their matches to keep it level on the night and a share of the points.

DIVISION 1

Waterlooville Bananas remain top of the pile as they beat Portchester X 9 – 3.  Steve Ball got the Bananas off to a great start.  It just got better as the nigh went on as Dan Lee, Ozzie Rendle and Ollie Rendle all winning their 2 frames each.

Cowplain Z had home advantage and paid dividends as they beat Waterlooville C 8 – 4.  The first 3 games were drawn until Steve Huges for Cowplain won his brace.  This was backed up by Frank Baxter who did likewise in following in winning his brace.

Bellair A just came out on top as they won 8 – 4 against Emsworth A.  Simon Tulley for Bellair did his bit as he won his match and it wasn’t till the end when Bellair made it safe as Dusty Tingley with a 32 break won his 2 frames to get his team over the line.  Highest break went to Greg Jones as he made 44 in his draw.

Copnor A & E went on their travels to Post Office and came away just, winning 7 – 5.  Andrew Rigby got the Posties off to a good start winning his match.  It was later on in the evening where Copnor shone as Ant Lacey and Lee Eden both won their brace of frames, with Eden making a 40 break in his win.
